Haiku series by Maquelly John

A fish ate my mum
It swallowed her completely
While I was at school.

I cried for a day
For my mother is gone
Vanished Forever.

Or so what I thought
My dad he went fishing
And reeled the fish in.

We sliced that fish up
And we got back my mother
We're back together.

And that dear old fish
Was eaten for my dinner
My revenge is sweet.

Poem by Josh Pain

the end of another year
no more sipping butterbeer
excitment is mounting
soon-to-be students are bouncing
as they know submission time is prowling
around the corner.

let's hope our minds are brimming
with info on potions simmering
your wands are in a tangle
and we can hear the jangle
of hogsmeade shop bells
as new students' hearts swell

we will miss the lessons
maybe not the assessments
we will wander aimlessly
and cast spells shamelessly
fill our mouths with nice sweet treats
and with our wands perform new feats.

the end of another year
it was foreseen by a seer
but did we ever expect
it us to affect

Haikus by Sila Snape

Haiku # 1

Wizards would be lame
If there were no witches
Today they are tame

Haiku # 2:

When Patil is gone
Hermione appears
Calls eagerly Ron
