The Ireland Quidditch Flag
by Pezzie "The Crafty Badger" Granger
Hi! The Crafty Badger is back with a great craft this month, just in time for St. Patrick's Day and the World Cup Quidditch Game! (Okay, the Goblet of Fire movie this fall *smirks*). So, gather up the supplies, and let's get crafting!
Supplies:
- 3 sheets of green felt (different shades of green)
- 2 print-outs of this image [click here for image]
- craft glue, scissors, ruler, black and green permanent markers, tape
Step 1: Gather materials
Step 2: Use the darkest shade of green felt for the flag base. Fold in half longways. Use the ruler to cut at an angle from one corner to the next. Put the triangle flag to the side.
Step 3: Use the two images you printed out, trim down around the the shamrock on one of the printouts and the hat on the other. You'll tape each on down on the other green felt. (See image below.) Cut through the paper and felt to get the shapes of the hat and shamrock.
Step 4: After you've cut out the shapes, use the markers to add some details to each. I used black on the hat and the green on the shamrock. (Use the print out for a guide.)
Step 5: The results of adding some details to the shapes. Now arrange the hat and shamrock on the flag before you glue them on.
Step 6: After you have the arrangement down, glue the hat down first, then the shamrock. Let this dry.
Ta-da! You now have an Ireland Quidditch Flag to display on your wall next to your Chudley Quidditch Flag (okay, that's my wall there... if you like that CC Flag, I'll be glad to tell you how to make one! Its really easy! ^-^). If you have any questions, email the Crafty Badger.
